Timothy Eades - CEO

With over 17 years of leadership experience in sales, marketing, and general management, Timothy has deep expertise in driving high growth for computing, security and enterprise software companies. His business experience includes providing technology solutions to Fortune 100 companies, large enterprises, mid-size businesses, as well as consumer markets. Prior to leading Silver Tail Systems in its current stage of hyper-growth, he was CEO of Everyone.net an SMB focused SaaS company (acquired by Proofpoint) where he led the company to record growth and profitability. Prior to Everyone.net, Tim held sales and marketing executive leadership positions at BEA Systems, Sana Security, Phoenix Technologies and IBM. Timothy holds advanced degrees in business, international marketing, and financial analysis, primarily from Solent University in England.

Laura Mather, Ph.D. - Founder and Chief Strategy Officer

Laura is a worldwide expert in combating internet fraud and a sought after speaker, published author and expert witness on the topic. She has spoken at IRS and Federal Trade Commission events in addition to many security conferences and events. She is also the Managing Director of Operational Policy for the Anti-Phishing Working Group where she drives internet policy to fight electronic crimes of phishing, pharming and spoofing. Prior to co-founding Silver Tail Systems with Mike, she spent three years in fraud prevention and anti-phishing at eBay, one of the brands most targeted by fraudsters on the internet. Before eBay she was a Director of Research and Analysis for the online division of Encyclopedia Britannica, and a research analyst for the National Security Agency (NSA). Laura holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Applied Mathematics, both from the University of Colorado. Laura enjoys hiking and traveling.

Mike Eynon - Founder and CTO

Mike is the Co-Founder and President of Silver Tail, bringing substantial experience in building fraud detection and prevention tools for some of the highest traffic and fraud targeted websites on the internet.  Before co-founding Silver Tail Systems, Mike managed payment risk at PayPal, as well as fraud policy at eBay.  Prior to these roles, Mike worked as an engineer for Trust and Safety at eBay where he built some of the industry's very first real-time fraud fighting tools for websites.  Mike's roles at PayPal and eBay put him in the technology center of fighting electronic crimes of phishing, pharming and spoofing.  Mike also spent time in the business units making decisions about how fraud negatively affects the business and where simple adjustments in the page flow can prevent bad behavior without impacting user experience.  Prior to eBay, Mike worked in engineering roles for Brio, SAS, and IBM and ran his own consulting company.  Mike has a B.S. in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo (CalPoly).  Mike is a licensed pilot and enjoys anything that involves adrenaline.

Blake Salle - VP of Worldwide Sales and Field Operations

With more than 18 years of experience in the communications, software and medical industry, as well as in a variety of vertical markets, including retail, energy, oil & gas, government, finance, healthcare, manufacturing and service providers, Blake is a seasoned sales leader with a passion for explosive growth.

Prior to joining Silver Tail Systems, Blake was the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Channels for VCE, a joint venture of Cisco, EMC, VMware and Intel. Prior to VCE, Blake was the Global Vice President of Security and Mobility Sales at Cisco, where he grew the business to over $3.2B in annual sales. Blake was instrumental in leading the security strategy through multiple acquisitions including IronPort and ScanSafe. Before leading Security and Wireless sales, Blake held several senior management roles for 11 years at Cisco.

Prior to Cisco he was a member of key sales teams at Parametric Technology Corporation and Johnson & Johnson. Blake holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He enjoys spending time with his family, snow skiing, hunting, fishing, and supporting the Texas Longhorns.

Nick Edwards - VP of Marketing and Products

An industry veteran with considerable security, networking and SaaS expertise, Nick Edwards is responsible for marketing and product management initiatives across Silver Tail Systems. As the former Director of Product Management and Marketing at Cisco Systems, Edwards led the team responsible for the IronPort Email Security product line, cloud security services, intrusion prevention systems as well as technical publications and training. He arrived at Cisco via the acquisition of IronPort Systems, the most successful network security startup in the past decade, where he served as Product Manager for the industry leading Email Security Appliance from product launch to a $300 million dollar run-rate.

Edwards formerly served as a submarine officer on Los Angeles Class submarines in the US Navy. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor of Science with honors in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.

Paul Gacek - VP of Engineering

As a leader with an extensive track record of success and delivery in the security and networking space, Paul brings over 30 years of insight, lessons and drive to Silver Tail Systems. Paul is passionate about security and the need to protect commerce and users over the Internet. Since 2006, Paul led the successful growth of the Juniper's NetScreen products along with leading the software engineering teams to deliver the groundbreaking Juniper SRX product family.

His career includes leading teams to deliver BorderManager, Novell's first firewall, proxy cache and VPN solution, Internet Commerce solutions at VeriFone and as leader of Canon's US R&D center established amongst many things, the application of security to imaging products as a new product differentiator for Canon.

Raised in the UK and with a BSc in Computer Science from Newcastle University, Paul's interests are varied and wide including travel, photography, hiking, history and amateur radio.
