On Thursday, February 28, I, along with panelists Jeremiah Grossman, Chief Technology Officer, WhiteHat Security; Michael Fowkes, SVP, Fraud Prevention & Security Analytics, Zions Bancorporation; and Laz Lazarikos, CISO, Fortune 100 Retailer, will share our thoughts around more economical ways to find and address threats in cyber environments.
In the session entitled, “Just In Time Security: Difficulty of Being Proactive in Cyber Environments” these visionaries in the infosec industry will discuss how the explosion in the number of web and mobile apps has made proactively identifying threats infeasible. Anticipating every exploit requires more resources than what’s available, therefore organizations need to change the way they look at risk. Instead of trying to find exploits, organizations are building more agile teams, which monitor for when criminals begin to attack an exploit. This panel will be useful for every IT security team leader as the group will share real-life scenarios and best practices of how companies are able to reduce resources required to only focus on exploits as they emerge.
From my experience as co-founder of Silver Tail Systems and the growth our company has seen since it's inception in 2008, our model of real-time web session intelligence is currently monitoring over 40% of North America banking traffic. Seem like more than a trend, don’t you think? Upon aligning ourselves with RSA’s Identity Protection and Verification portfolio, we've found that the RSA and Silver Tail technologies complement each other perfectly. Where RSA looks deep at an individual transaction, Silver Tail looks across an entire web session and the two together are super powerful. And given my goal of protecting as many people on the Internet as possible, what better place to do that than at RSA? I'll look forward to seeing you all next week!
